A precious recording rediscovered after 45 years

There is an early version of the song "To Beirut", written by the Lebanese poet Joseph Harb, which was recorded by the then 17-year-old singer Oussama Hallak on a Lebanese radio station in 1976. This version was forgotten in the war and was not rediscovered until 2021. The only accompaniment at that time was the piano, and the person playing the piano was Ziad Rahbani, who later arranged music for his mother Firouz. The lyrics of this early version are slightly different from the later circulated version.
